i think instinct is better than knowlege because instinct helps you feel if something bad is going to happen or something godd is going to and you get common sence from instinct and if the guy in building the fire used common sence it would probaly not be a good idea to travel at 75 below 0 without exspecting to freeze or to get frost bite
